In what has become the biggest headliner from Kollywood, the trailer of Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan has been in the process of getting released. It will be eliciting the fans with its trailer and audio track which will be released during the first week of September. 

The expecting venue to grandeur the event is to be Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, where the 44th chess olympiad just ended its historic sports event. The Ponniyin Selvan-1 teaser and first look posters were released on social media platforms on July 8 and received an overwhelming response. According to the most recent information, the PS-I will have a major audio and trailer debut on September 6, 2022, at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 

Ponniyin Selvan features the ensemble Cholas, played by Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram Prabhu, and Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Jayaram, Sobitha Dhulipala, Lal, Sarath Kumar, Riyaz Khan, and Ashwin Kakamanu which is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. 

Through this project, acclaimed music composer AR Rahman has done the musical works, who already getting lauds for the lastly released, 'Ponni Nadhi' audio release, and cinematographer Ravi Varman for the Ponniyin Selvan franchise. Tips Music has acquired Ponniyin Selvan's audio rights and this iconic movie has been slated for a theatrical release on September 30, 2022.
