'Never imagined this': Atlee's emotional tweet as he successfully caps a big milestone!

Popular Tamil director Atlee has now taken a major leap in his career as he has ventured into Bollywood and caps a big milestone by director Shah Rukh Khan in his debut movie. The filming of the project has been keenly watched beyond the borders and Atlee has now unveiled the mother of all updates, the release date of the movie that has been titled 'Jawan'. 

Atlee rose to prominence in the Indian cinema industry through his successful movies with actor Vijay. He has shared an emotional tweet about directing Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. Taking to Twitter on Friday, Atlee wrote, "Feeling emotional, excited & blessed. Grew up admiring you but never imagined that I would be directing you, sir. Shah Rukh Khan & I proudly present to you, Jawan."

He has revealed that Jawan will hit the big screens on June 2, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The teaser of the movie was also released on Friday in which Shah Rukh Khan was seen sporting a new avatar and it has promised an action-packed thriller. Sharing the teaser, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "An action-packed 2023! Bringing Jawan to you, an explosive entertainer in cinemas 2nd June 2023. In Hindi, Tami, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada." 

Jawan is bankrolled by the actor's wife Gauri Khan. The teaser has gained a huge reception and has poured more expectations from the fans. As Atlee has ventured into Bollywood, several Tamil celebrities have been wishing him a remarkable journey in India's biggest cinema industry. Earlier this year, Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed his association with Atlee for this project and the posters of the movie were intriguing with Shah Rukh Khan exposing his half-covered face. 

Jawan cast details are yet to be announced. But, reports claim that Nayanthara would be casting the female lead in the movie, which will be her first debut in Bollywood. There has been a pile of speculations that Jawan has roped in Sanya Malhotra in an important role while Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati will be playing the antagonist. As Shah Rukh Khan is coming back to business in style after a setback where his son Aryan was accused in a drug racket case, the fans are relishing the posters and the movie's teaser. 

The actor's fans also celebrate that Shah Rukh Khan will rule 2023 through his movies. While Jawan has been slated to get released in June 2023, the actor will see his movie 'Pathaan' hitting the screens on January 25, 2023. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan will also cast Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Shah Rukh Khan also has the movie 'Dunki' in his kitty and it will be released during the Christmas week of 2023.
