Nayanthara and Madhavan were rumored to be working together for the first time, which made the buzz last week, and Sashikanth, the producer of YNot Studios, had secured the pair for his upcoming directorial debut. And now there are various recent speculations abounding that the movie will be based on cricket.

Madhavan, who was last seen in Tamil, made his directing debut with the popular movie Rocketry, which was based on a true story. When this news on Nayanthara- Madhavan project, first surfaced in 2018, the director's deets was unknown.

Now the latest has been versed, that the eagerly awaited project is being produced by Sashikanth of Y Not Studios, who also to be debuted his first directorial.

A formal confirmation is still awaiting, but there are rumors that it will be a movie about cricket. While Sidharth, who previously collaborated with Madhavan in Maniratnam's Aayutha Ezhuthu, now the talk of the town is that he joins the unheard-of duo's venture. According to claims, Siddharth will also have a significant role in the movie, and production will start in January 2023. 

More information about the remaining cast and crew will be revealed at the upcoming official announcement. It's worth noting that Sashikanth of Ynot Studios funded Irudhi Sutru and Vikram Vedha, two previous Madhavan movies, in 2016 and 2017.

On the work front, the new mom, Nayanthara to be seen in the  Atlee's 'Jawan' next, which is starring Shah Rukh Khan, and the suspense horror 'Connect'.  And on the other side, R. Madhavan has lasly appeared in Hindi flick, Dhokha: Round D Corner, and he has Amriki Pandit in his pipeline.
