After having been roped in for the Hollywood movie 'The Gray Man' directed by 'The Avengers' fame Russo brothers, Kollywood actor Dhanush has penned an emotional letter to his fans for their love and support. In a proud moment for the fans of the 'Asuran', Dhanush is the only Indian star on the cast so far and he will be joining 'Captain America' Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Julia Butters, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, and Wagner Moura.
As Dhanush is all set for his second Hollywood movie, the actor took to Twitter and released an emotional letter to his fans for thanking them for their support. In his letter, he wrote, "Elated to announce that I will be joining the team of Netflix's 'The Gray Man' starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans directed by the Russo brothers ("Avengers", "Captain America: Winter Soldier").
He further stated, "Looking forward to being a part of this wonderful action-packed experience. My sincere thanks to my dearest fans from all over the world for all the love and support you have been showing me throughout these years. Love you all. Spread love". The big announcement from the streaming giant has become a massive New Year Opening for one of the successful Kollywood stars.
The Gray Man is based on American novelist Mark Greaney's debut novel that was released on the same name in 2009. The Gray Man will be adapted and released by Netflix as its original film and according to reports, the shooting has been expected to commence early next year and the budget of this movie has been estimated to be $200 million and it has been expected that the movie would hit the screens in the mid or at the end of next year.
The reports say that the film will be based on a freelance assassin and former CIA operative who goes on a rescue mission across Europe. In 2016, there were plans to turn this novel into a film directed by Christopher McQuarrie. The poster of 'The Gray Man' has been released in which Dhanush can be seen standing next to 'Captain America' Chris Evans.
Netflix took to Twitter on Thursday and confirmed the news of Dhanush joining the crew. In its message, Netflix said, "THE GRAY MAN cast just got even better. Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Dhanush, and Julia Butters will join Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas in the upcoming action thriller from directors Anthony and Joe Russo". 'The Gray Man' is the second Hollywood movie of the 'Asuran' actor as he had already made his debut by playing a lead role in the film 'The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir', which was released in 2018.
