Modi's love on dogs than students gets national hate: His 'Mann Ki Baat' address earns over 3 lakh dislikes!

In an unprecedented development, the latest episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' national radio address had earned massive criticism across the nation as the address had been packed with the elements that slipped off from the current trends and expectations.

Ever since taking office, Prime Minister Modi has been delivering the radio address to the nation under the name of 'Mann Ki Baat' on the last Sunday of every month and on Sunday- August 30, he delivered the address to the nation amid the expectations from the students that he would touch upon and respond to their nationwide outcry to defer the JEE and NEET 2020 entrance examinations in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.

However, Modi's address wheeled through the path of not responding to the student's appeal to postpone the exams, instead, the Prime Minister talked about the native Indian breeds of dogs. As the sequel of his address that didn't carry the answer for the students' call, the address had invited more dislikes across the nation as the official Youtube channel of Bharatiya Janata Party, which also broadcasted his address, had received over 3.15 lakh dislikes for his address in less than 24 hours of streaming.

According to the reports, this massive unwelcoming reception to his address was driven due to the absence of concrete address to the students' call and demand to defer the JEE and NEET exams. Moments after the Prime Minister started his episode, Tweeple started trending the hashtag #Mann_Ki_Nahi_Students_Ki_Baat on Twitter to oppose his address and to demand him to speak for the students.

By tweeting the hashtag, students and people asked why the Prime Minister had refrained from addressing the students' call of postponing the exams. Some of the users had taken the screenshots after they disliked the address and shared those snaps on social media with some demanding to write to the Center to defer the exams. Following his address, some of the people had commented that the Prime Minister should concentrate on development instead of just talking.

In his radio address, the Prime Minister asked the people to adopt the native Indian breeds of dogs and he called people to adopt the native breeds of Rajapalayams, Chippiparai, and Mudhol Hounds instead of non-native breeds. The Prime Minister has also talked about the need to make India as a toy hub and mentioned the dancing doll and toys of Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu. However, he had left a huge vacuum in his address which the students hoped that he would fill.

With the lighter takeaways from his address, the students strongly reacted against him on avoiding to hear their beseech, concerns, and fear of writing exams at the current state. Some had fiercely voiced against the address of the Prime Minister and stated that they have voted for him for jobs not to listen to his lecture while some appealed to the Prime Minister to fulfill the duty for which he has been chosen and elected.

Some of the comments read that when its time to talk about students' lives, the Prime Minister opted to talk about dog breeds and toys. The Youth Wing of the Indian Congress said, "Lesson for the confused PM who thought dogs, ducks and peacocks were more important than India's students!".

Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has been voicing for students and demanding the Central government to defer the exams and he has urged the Prime Minister to postpone the exams after Diwali as conducting the exams at the current state of the COVID-19 outbreak would lead to dire consequences and he also has addressed to Union Education Minister to defer the exams.

As the nationwide outcry and demand to postpone the exams have been enhanced across the nation, Subramanian Swamy took to Twitter on Monday and said, "I have phoned the PM residence this morning to try one last time for postponing NEET/JEE exams beyond Deepavali. The office secretary said that he will call back. If that happens I will inform the students".

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which schedules and conducts the national exams, said that there is no place of postponement and according to the schedule released by the agency, JEE -Mains exams will be taking place from September 1 to September 6 while NEET exams will be taking place on September 13.  Over 19 lakh students had downloaded the admit cards for NEET and JEE, through which the Central government has been claiming that the students wish to write exams. On Monday, the hashtags of #StudentsDislikePMModi and #NoMore_NEET have been trending across India.
