The upcoming assembly poll in Tamil Nadu is the first legislative election for MK Stalin as DMK President and he has been unveiling possible drives to take over the reign by ousting the ADMK regime and to display him as the perfect successor for late DMK patriarch Karunanidhi.
As the crucial assembly poll is just one month away, Stalin has been preparing to make a big launch of the party's vision document amid the ongoing negotiations with the allied parties over seat-sharing and constituencies. On Monday - March 1st, Stalin has celebrated his 68th birthday and has been in the rain of wishes and DMK has announced that the party will be releasing a vision for the upcoming state elections on March 7.
While addressing the reporters at Anna Arivazhayam in Chennai on Monday, Stalin has unveiled that the party's vision will be released on March 7. He said, "A much-awaited change in government will happen in two months. We are holding talks concerning the allocation of constituencies with our allies".
By citing that DMK's election manifesto is getting ready, Stalin said that a meeting will be organized in Trichy on March 7. The DMK President said that party's principal secretary KN Nehru will be arranging the meeting. Stalin further said, "We will release our vision for Tamil Nadu in the meeting. I will release my plans for Tamil Nadu for the next ten years. Tamil Nadu will reach the number one position in all fields in the next ten years".
"The vision document was created based on my interactions with people of Tamil Nadu and with party functionaries", Stalin added. According to reports, the vision would draw attention as it would be baked with the DMK's bid to cover all the sections of voters to ensure that it plays well to arm the party towards defeating the ruling ADMK. Stalin has been in his drive of reaching out to the constituencies to take DMK's campaign to a big lead.
Stalin has been carrying out the tour under the name of 'Ungal Thokuthiyil Stalin' (Stalin is in your constituency) across the state and putting the party's propaganda of defeating ADMK. As Tamil Nadu will go to the polls on April 6, the top political parties in the state have initiated talks with the allied parties to finalize the seat-sharing and constituencies.
The DMK has currently been in talks with the Congress party to finalize the seat-sharing and it has been anticipated that the Tamil Nadu Opposition party will complete the talks with all the allied parties within this week. As DMK is ready to unveil what's the party's vision for Tamil Nadu, it also has been expected that the party will release its manifesto in the second week of March. As Tamil Nadu will go to the polls on April 6, the state will more likely witness four to five fronts - ADMK and its alliance, DMK and its alliance, Kamal Haasan and Sarathkumar, Dhinakaran's AMMK, and Seeman's Naam Tamilar. The votes will be counted on May 2nd during which the state will know who is the next Chief Minister.
