MK Alagiri starts his political game? Reveals his next plan as he gave a big shock to MK Stalin!

Expelled DMK leader and former Union Minister MK Alagiri had occupied the headlines across the state on Thursday by giving a major shock to his brother turned rival MK Stalin after starting his political game and hinting the possibilities of allying with Rajinikanth in the upcoming assembly polls. In an unanticipated development, Alagiri has on Thursday arrived in Chennai and drove to Karunanidhi's residence in Gopalapuram to meet his mother Dayalu Ammal.

The meet has come after a few months and at a high time when the expelled leader, who still enjoys a political stronghold in Madurai and southern districts, has been preparing for a political resurgence against Stalin and DMK. Recently, he has asserted that he would play a role in the upcoming legislative election, which would be the first state election since the demise of Karunanidhi and since Stalin took over the party's leadership.

Being one of the close friends of Rajinikanth, MK Alagiri hasn't publicly denied that his resurgence would be armed by the superstar's political entry and Alagiri was one of the leaders who wished Rajinikanth in the first line after the superstar announced that he would be launching the political party and contesting in the assembly polls. Even as the superstar prepares for active politics, Alagiri has unfolded a high-level political drama on Thursday as he had entered Chennai after a long time.

On Thursday, Alagiri arrived at the Gopalapuram residence with his wife Gandhi Alagiri, and met his ailing mother Dayalu Ammal. Following the meeting, the former Union Minister has addressed the reporters during which he had revealed his next plan. He said that he would decide about launching a new political party on January 3, 2021. He stated that he would convene a meeting with his followers on January 3 and as per the discussion with his followers, he would arrive at a final decision of launching the political party.

Alagiri reiterated his call and asserted that he would be definitely playing a role in the upcoming election and he hinted at the possibilities that he would be contesting in the upcoming polls. In what has become a major assertion from the expelled DMK leader, MK Alagiri said that he would meet Rajinikanth after the latter arrives in Chennai. Though Alagiri said that he would meet Rajinikanth to extend his birthday wishes to the superstar, who recently celebrated his 70th birthday, the reports close to the developments say that they would definitely talk about politics, upcoming elections, and alliance to defeat the DMK.

Alagiri had denied the possibility of making a comeback to the DMK and while responding to the question on joining DMK again after four years, the expelled brother of Stalin said there is no possibility of joining DMK again as there has been no official invitation from the party's leadership. According to our sources, Alagiri has started his political game of rivaling against Stalin from the residence of their father, DMK patriarch Karunanidhi. With a fresh resurgence in the New Year, Alagiri's political comeback could levy a setback on Stalin in souther districts including Madurai where Stalin expects a decent breakthrough in the polls to take over the reign.

However, with Alagiri prepares to block his brother in southern districts, DMK could witness a political storm from the heated fight of the rivaling brothers. It has been expected that some of DMK members could switch their side to Alagiri and his alliance with Rajini would further damage the party's stronghold in some of the crucial regions.

As Alagiri said that he would be deciding about launching the political party after discussing with his supporters and followers, he has been surfaced with speculations. Earlier, the reports close to the developments said that he had decided to launch the party under the name of Kalaignar Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam or KDMK. As the reports close to Rajinikanth revealed that the superstar is considering to unveil his political party in Madurai in January, the state would be least surprised to witness Rajini and Alagiri on the same stage.
