The Supreme Court on Thursday 23rd February, upheld the Madras High Court division bench's order allowing Edappadi Palaniswami to continue as the party's interim general secretary. While the  AIADMK members have been expressing their happiness throughout the state by bursting firecrackers and offering sweets, EPS too was very pleased and said that the judgment has brought back the glory to AIADMK and also removed the masks of a few who acted like DMKs B team.

Edappadi Palaniswami presided over the marriage ceremony of former minister R.P. Udayakumar held in Tirumangalam, Madurai. Addressing the Supreme court's verdict, he said, "Today is a wonderful day. I prayed to Jayalalithaa and MGR to get a good verdict on this day. Within minutes of these two great leaders giving their grace, the wonderful news has come. It is a boon given by powerful leaders,"

He added, "Those who acted as DMK's B team and sought to destroy and disable AIADMK have had their masks ripped off today. Executives and volunteers of the AIADMK have endured almost six to seven months of unfathomable suffering and anguish. The opposition parties have proclaimed that the AIADMK has no future. The Supreme Court's ruling has resolved all of this."

"AIADMK operates under the direction of its volunteers. Note that the answer to the argument that the AIADMK has now split into three and four has been reduced to a single option. Our party has controlled the media and press for the past seven months.   From now on, declare that AIADMK is a movement for the people.   Workers and administrators of the AIADMK stand on their own two feet. Elevated by labour Volunteers and administrators have nullified the DMK's plots as a result of all of this. And hence, AIADMK is the most powerful party in Tamil Nadu, with the greatest number of volunteers and the largest youth army."

He ended, "AIADMK was founded by MGR to oppose DMK. Similarly, Jayalalithaa also stood in the way of MGR and ruled to win the DMK Party. We are watching on TV the DMK's work of keeping poor voters in sheds like sheep and cattle. As the next verdict is announced, we will learn that AIADMK candidate Thennarasu has won the Erode East constituency. AIADMK is on the verge of victory. Since AIADMK possesses the truth, justice, and dharma."
