Line of Crisis: Border skirmish between neighbors had killed dozens! What's the latest dispute?

With the incessant menace from the adversary neighbor, the Line of Control (LOC) has been becoming the Line of Crisis as the border dispute between two nations has been claiming more lives including the civilians and the troops. In the latest clash between the heavy armored fences and frontier, at least 14 people had died on Friday.

According to reports, the 14 casualties include ten civilians and four security personnel and the clash began after the Indian troops dismantled the plot of the infiltration attempt from the rival neighbor Pakistan in northern Kashmir. Friday's cross border clash has become one of the deadliest disputes in the LOC reported in the current year.

The officials in Srinagar and New Delhi said that the fire exchanges began after the Indian troops foiled an infiltration attempt from Pakistan. The Indian officials said that six civilians, three soldiers, and a border guard were killed on their side while the counterparts from Pakistan said that four civilians were killed on their side.

However, Indian officials said they believed that Pakistan would have suffered more casualties among its security forces. According to Reuters, the shelling had started in the morning hours of Friday and continued till evening and the casualties on the Indian side include an 8-year-old child. The shelling continued in the areas along the LoC in Uri, Gurez, and Poonch areas of Kashmir.

Srinagar based defence spokesperson said, "Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violations along the LoC spread across multiple sectors. Pakistan used mortars and other weapons and three Indian Army soldiers were killed while three others had injured. The spokesperson said that the Indian side had retaliated strongly to Pakistan causing the neighbor damage to its infrastructure.

According to the official data, more than 40 civilians were killed in firing between Indian and Pakistani troops this year on both sides. Peoples Conference had condemned the ceasefire violation and expressed deep grief and anguish over shelling on civilian areas along the LOC. The border disputes have been persisting for many years and the disputes were triggered in the claim of the entire Kashmir.

Both India and Pakistan claim Kashmir in full and when New Delhi accused Islamabad of sparking the insurgency, the latter has been denying the accusations. The Indian officials said that Friday's ceasefire violation and shelling were intense than the regular exchange of fire in the disputed border.
