Late Tamil comedian Vivek's wife has on Monday - April 25 met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin at the latter's office in Chief Secretariat and submitted a petition. Vivek's wife Arulselvi was accompanied by actor Cell Murugan and her kids.
In her petition, Arulselvi has requested Chief Minister MK Stalin to name the road, where the actor's house is situated, after Vivek. The demised actor was a Padma Shri laureate and he was a reputed comedian in the Indian cinema. The request from the actor's wife to the Chief Minister has come a year of the actor's demise.
Vivek was prominently known for his social service and following the footsteps of late Indian President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the actor has planted lakhs of saplings and he had been campaigning about the safety measures to beat the Covid-19 pandemic. He had passed away on April 17, 2021, in Chennai at the age of 59 due to cardiac arrest.
His demise had shocked millions of fans and cinema fraternities. On Monday, the Chief Minister's office took to Twitter and wrote, "Late actor Thiru Vivek's wife Arulselvi has met Honorable Chief Minister MK Stalin and requested him to name the road, where the actor's house is located, after Vivek."
