The countdown has begun for the release of ‘Lal Salaam,’ the much-awaited film directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and starring Superstar Rajinikanth in a prominent extended cameo role. The film, which is said to be a cricket-based drama, is produced by Lyca Productions and is slated to hit the screens on Pongal 2024.
But the most surprising element of the film is the special appearance by legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev, who will be playing himself in the film. The former captain of the Indian cricket team has completed dubbing for his portions in the film, as revealed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth on her social media account.
She took to Instagram, and shared pictures of Kapil Dev at the dubbing studio and wrote, “THE LEGEND of Indian cricket wraps up dubbing for #lalsalaam …what an experience it’s been! True charmer you are “CAP" Post production in full throttle! #pongal2024”.
It is not clear how Kapil Dev’s cameo will fit into the plot of the film, but it is sure to be a treat for the cricket lovers and Rajinikanth enthusiasts alike. The anticipation surrounding ‘Lal Salaam’ is set to make Pongal 2024 a festive delight for moviegoers.
The film which show Rajinikanth in a new avatar as Moideen Bhai, a powerful don based in Mumbai. The film promises a captivating narrative with political intrigue and a strong underlying message. Alongside Rajinikanth, the movie stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles.
