The fans of superstar Rajinikanth  are currently rejoicing the Nelson Dhilipkumar's Jailer. Now the latest update on his upcoming film Lalsalaam reveals about the extended cameo in the political thriller. The film, which is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles, is expected to release on Pongal 2024.

According to sources, Rajinikanth’s portions will come in the second half of the film, where he will play a pivotal role in the climax. The actor, who is known for his thunderous stardom, has reportedly delivered a powerful performance that will leave the audience spellbound. His scenes were shot secretly in Chennai and Hyderabad, and the makers have kept his look and character under wraps. The film is undergoing intensive post-production work to ensure the best quality.

Lalsalaam is Rajinikanth’s first collaboration with Aishwarya Rajinikanth as she known for her ventures, 3, Velayilla Pattadhari, and Vai Raja Vai. The film is also his first appearance after the mega hit Jailer, which was released this month and broke several box office records. Jailer, and co-starred Tamannah Bhatiya, Mohanlal, Shivaraj Kumar and Sunil which, is hailing as one of the best films of Rajinikanth’s career.

Lalsalaam is a political thriller that revolves around the life of a revolutionary leader who fights against corruption and injustice.  The film also has a special appearance by former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, who will be seen sharing screen space with Rajinikanth. ‘Lal Salaam’ is produced by Lyca Productions, which has backed several big-budget films starring Rajinikanth, such as ‘2.0’ and ‘Darbar’. The film is planned to have a pan-Indian release later this year and is expected to be a treat for Rajinikanth’s fans across the country.

Lalsalaam is one of the most anticipated films of 2024, as the sports drama, which features him in an extended cameo role as Moideen Bhai, a Muslim man who mentors two young cricketers played by Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. he film’s music is composed by AR Rahman, who has previously worked with Rajinikanth in several blockbuster films.
