Kovai Sarala's Sembi gets the OTT release date! Here's when and where to watch the thrilling drama

Director Prabu Solomon who fame for Maina, Kumki, and Kayal, he next ventured for Sembi which starred Kovai Sarala in the lead. The film released on 30th December 2022. The film's masterful handling of a controversial subject was widely praised among moviebuffs but fallen for neutral feedback. Red Giant Movies distributed the film. 

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Disney + Hotstar shared the OTT release date. As per the announcement, the series will release in the OTT Platform on February 3rd, 2023. The film released by clashing with Trisha's Rangi, Aishwarya Rajesh's Driver Jamuna. The performances of Sarala and a few other actors were another aspect which received praise from cinephiles.

The majority of Prabu Solomon's stories take place in the woods, rather than set in cities. His newest film Sembi, returns to Kodaikanal's verdant hills for another tale. In addition to Kovai Sarala and Ashwin Kumar, the film also features Thambi Ramaiah and Nila, a child actor of only 10 years of age, in pivotal roles. 

Sembi, which audiences anticipate will be a road movie, follows a bus full of twenty-four people as they travel from Kodaikanal to Dindigul. Jeevan shot the cinematography and Nivas K Prasanna composed the score. Trident Arts and AR Entertainment are the producers of the film. Phoenix Prabu and Sri Krish handled action stunts and dance choreography respectively. The director also confirmed that there will be a sequel for his signature film Kumki,  which will feature newcomers in lead roles similar to the first part.
