For the first time in the history of music and universe, Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja's song will be heard in the outer space, thanks to the trailblazing idea of a Tamil Nadu team of space aspirants, as the music maestro will be dominating the universe through his soul and legacy.

The first-of-its-kind event has been in the making and though we can't see the outcome through our eyes, his music will be heard through our hearts. It will be yet another feat of the iconic musician, proud moment for his fans and for Tamil language, and an incredible guest to the boundless universe. The enthralling music of Ilaiyaraaja has connected generations and now it will connect the mankind with the space.

The legendary music director will be pioneering the efforts of a space team and his song will be orbiting in the outer space in a satellite. According to reports, a Tamil Nadu based team of space aspirants has developed one of the world's smallest satellites, which is to be launched with the help of NASA. The song composed by Ilaiyaraaja will travel to space in the satellite and it will be played there and if successfully placed, it will be immortal as the maestro's legacy.

The reports say that the musician has composed a special song that will be played in space and the team has been working in the remarkable project. The team which comprises of students has decided to launch the satellite during this year's Indian Independence Day and giving an oomph to their journey, Ilaiyaraaja's song will be played on the satellite and they have decided to pioneer the song-satellite to highlight heritage and pride of India to the world. 

The song was penned by Swanand Kirkire in Hindi and Ilaiyaraaja has composed the music and sung this song in Tamil. As the song and efforts are going to highlight the Indian heritage in the outer space, the reports say that Ilaiyaraaja didn't take any reward or money for composing the song.
