After having been upsetting the Congress party with her decision of joining the BJP, the Congress party has expelled actor turned politician Khushbu from the post of national spokesperson as she has been preparing with the new voice of supporting BJP. On Monday, the Congress leadership has removed from her the post with the immediate effect, and hours after she was removed, Khushbu has tendered her resignation from the Congress party. 

As she would joining the BJP party in Delhi on Monday, she has addressed her resignation letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi in which she said that she was pushed and suppressed at the party and added a note of thanks to the party leadership. In her letter, the actor turned politician said, "Thank you very much for providing me the opportunity to serve my nation as a National Spokesperson and a primary member of the Indian National Congress. I have always taken great pride to represent the party on different platforms in most trying situations". 

She stated, "I came into the fold of INC (Indian National Congress) at the time when it was at its lowest, being defeated in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. I did not walk into the party for any monetary gains, name, or fame". She accused the senior leaders of the party of dictating terms. She has scathingly penned, "Few elements seated at a higher level within the party, people who have no connectivity with the ground reality or public recognition are dictating terms and people like me who wanted to work for the party sincerely, are being pushed and suppressed". 

She stated, "I, after a long thorough thought process over a period of time, have decided to end my association with the party. Herewith, I tender my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress. I wish to take this opportunity to thank you, Shri. Rahul Gandhi Ji and everyone in the party personally". She has ended her letter by claiming that her respect towards everyone will remain the same.

The actor turned politician had twisted the tale and she has been on the top of the headlines after signaling that she would be joining the BJP. The development has come days after she had asserted that she was happy with the Congress party and negated the speculations and rumors that she is joining the BJP. Her decision of quitting the Congress party and joining the BJP had shocked the leaders of the Gandhis camp as she has been one of the vocal critics of the Central government and Narendra Modi. 

Khushbu has been one of the star political campaigners in Tamil Nadu and she entered politics by joining the DMK in 2010. She worked for the Dravidian party for four years until the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. In July 2014, she had left the DMK and in November of the same year, she had joined the Congress party. After joining the Congress party, she had said that it was a very happy moment in her life and stated that she felt that she had returned to her home. 

Six years later, her home has become bitter after she said she was pushed and suppressed and after leaving her home, she found a shelter in Modi's camp which has scathing words that were thrown by her against the party. According to reports close to the developments, Khushbu has been unhappy with the Congress since she was not awarded with a party ticket to her to contest in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. 

During her career as a politician, she had carried forward her cinematic reputation and built a political corridor as after she joined the Congress party, she was awarded the post of the national spokesperson. As one of the spokespersons, she participated in many interviews and debates and slashed the BJP in its policies and bills. Being a staunch Congress supporter, Khushbu had emerged as one of the star women leaders in the party. 

In what has become a politics of power, the reports say that she would be joining the BJP on Monday in Delhi with the assurance from the Central ruling party, not to withdraw the bills that she opposed, but to award her a party ticket in the Tamil Nadu assembly polls. The BJP had assured her that she would either be given a ticket to contest in the state assembly polls next year or with the Rajya Sabha seat as the Central ruling party has seemingly fished her on its boat with the right bait. 

After finding bitterness in her home, she has exited and had decided to collapse it with the voice of supporting Modi, which earlier had attacked him. With the vast expectation, she has decided to join the BJP ahead of the state polls and on Sunday, she traveled to Delhi from Chennai to officially annex her with the saffron camp. Following such developments, the Congress party had removed her from the post, and later, she had rendered her resignation.

Initially, it was speculated that she will join BJP after she had welcomed the National Education Policy, which was opposed by the Congress party. However, she had denied the rumors and speculations that she would be joining BJP. Earlier, she had gone to Delhi and she claimed that she came to Delhi not to join BJP but to take part in the protests organized by Congress against the Center's farm bills and asserted that she was happy with the Congress. However, she has now twisted the tale and left the nation's oldest party with upset and decided to join BJP with the new face and assurance.

As she has been expected to join the BJP anytime now, she hopes to have a new home with the assurances from the saffron camp. As she has unfolded a high-level drama, she would return to Chennai likely with the new face and post as she prepares to change her voice in support of BJP. Being a politician for a decade, BJP would be the third party for Khushbu and expected to hit the campaign trail for the BJP in the state elections and to work on increasing the voter base to deliver justice to her new party.
