The versatile star Karthi who was last seen in director Raju Murugan's Japan,  is all set to entertain us with his next project, tentatively titled Karthi 26. The movie, which is directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the maker of the cult comedy Soodhu Kavvum, is expected to be a hilarious ride with a twist of suspense.

The movie, which is produced by Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green, has a star-studded cast that includes names like Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, and Yogi Babu. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, who has previously collaborated with Nalan Kumarasamy in Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum. 

The movie’s title and the first look poster will be announced in December, according to the producer Gnanavel Raja, who recently interacted with the media. He also revealed that nearly 50% of the shooting has been completed and he added that it is shaping up very well. 

Karthi 26 is expected to hit the screens in the summer of 2024.  The female lead in Karthi 26 is none other than the talented Krithi Shetty, who made her Tamil debut in The Warrior, directed by Lingusamy. The fans of Karthi and Nalan Kumarasamy are eagerly waiting for this movie, which promises to be a unique and refreshing take for the actor as his last outing Japan received mixed response.

Meanwhile the actor's next Karthi27 has officially embarked shooting featuring the duo Karthi and the versatile Arvind Swami, for the first time under the direction of Premkumar, renowned for his critically acclaimed work on "96."
