Actor Kangana Ranaut is now under the cover of Central Security forces to tackle the threat that has been surfaced around her as the sequel of the charges and accusations that she put forth recently.
The development has come on Monday and the actress has been given Y+ category of security and the decision of awarding the central cover has been taken to counter the threats posed by her after she spoke about the grounds of drug use in the film industry following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
She has brought under the security detail of the Central security agencies a day after Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said that the state government has decided to give the state's security cover and the government has also been considering to deploy the cover along with her when the latter is visiting Mumbai on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister of the actor's home state Himachal Pradesh further stated that the actor's father and her sister had approached the state government and sought a security cover for the actor. The actor was also facing threats and protests from the Maharashtra ruling Shiv Sena party after she compared Mumbai to Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir.
Following her comparison, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had demanded the actor to extend an apology for her comments against Mumbai and Maharashtra. On Friday, Raut had asked Ranaut to visit the PoK to understand the situation there before speaking against Mumbai and Raut further urged the state government to take action against the actor and people who demean the city police.
According to the reports, the Union Home Ministry has decided to provide Kangana Ranaut Y-plus security cover, which is a security detail of 11 personnel including one or two commandos and police personnel. The detail would be protecting the actor, who is going to return to Mumbai on September 9, and earlier she has dared anyone to stop her from entering into the city.
'Y-plus' security detail is the country's third level of security after Z and Z-plus and after having been accorded with the Y-plus security, Kangana Ranaut, who is currently in her home state of Himachal Pradesh, took to Twitter and thanked the government for providing her the detail. Tweeted in Hindi, she said, "This is proof that no fascist will be able to crush a patriotic voice, I am thankful to Amit Shah, because of the circumstances, he would have advised me to go to Mumbai after a few days, but he helped a daughter of India keep up her words. Jai Hind".
Earlier, former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shanta Kumar has wirtten to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and said that Kangana's family and the entire state of Himachal Pradesh is concerned over her safety. Shanta Kumar had further called Thackeray to providefill security to the actress and to stop his party leader from theartening and harming her. By describing Kanaga as a brave daughter of Himachal Pradesh, Shanta Kumar said every citizen in India has freedom of speech and expression and stated that some Shiv Sena leaders have been threating the actress over her comments.
