"The Journey to the darkness"... Makers of Demonte Colony 2 to drop a special video on the terrific sequel soon!

The wait is over for the fans of horror films as the special video of ‘Demonte Colony 2’ directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu will be released today at 5.01 pm, the crew has announced! They tagged the video as “The Journey to the Darkness”, hinting at the spine-chilling experience that awaits the viewers.

The film, starring Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar, is a sequel to the 2015 hit Tamil horror film ‘Demonte Colony’, which was set in a haunted colony in Chennai. The film was a sleeper hit, earning rave reviews and box office success for its gripping plot and technical brilliance.

Ajay Gnanamuthu took to Twitter on Friday, shared the exciting update writing, "Attention! Attention!! Get ready to peek into the journey of #DemonteColony2 today @5 :01pm. #VengeanceOfTheUnholy #DarknessWillRule #2023WillBeDark".

‘Demonte Colony 2’ has a tagline ‘Vengeance of the Unholy’, suggesting that the sequel said to be explore the dark secrets and sinister forces behind the colony further. The film also features Meenakshi Govindarajan, Arun Pandian, Sarjano Khalid and Muthukumaran in supporting roles. Sam CS has composed the music for the film while Deepak D Menon and Harish Kannan is the cinematographer.

The shooting of the film was wrapped up in June and the makers are aiming to release the film in September. Ajay Gnanamuthu, who is known for his psychological thrillers like ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal’ and ‘Cobra’, has written  the film, while VG Balasubramanian, R.R. Rajkumar, Mukesh Sharma and Vijay Subramaniam bankrolling the project.

The special video of ‘Demonte Colony 2’ is expected to give a glimpse of the horror elements and the performances of the lead actors. The fans are eagerly waiting to witness the journey to the darkness that will unfold on their screens today.
