The film, titled 800 is the biopic of one of the most celebrated cricketers in the world, Muttiah Muralitharan. The film traces the life and career of the Sri Lankan spin wizard, who overcame many challenges and hardships to become the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket.

The film is directed by M S Sripathy and features Madhur Mittal as the legendary bowler. 800 is a tribute to the spirit and passion of Muralitharan, who defied all odds and made history with his bowling skills.

Jigarthanda Double X:

The sequel to the cult classic Jigarthanda (2014) is finally here. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, who is known for his innovative and edgy films, Jigarthanda Double X follows the story of another aspiring filmmaker who wants to make a movie with a real-life gangster.

Produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, S. Kathiresan, and Alankar Pandian under Stone Bench Films, Five Star Creations, and Invenio Origin respectively, "Jigarthanda DoubleX" pays homage to its predecessor, the 2014 hit 'Jigarthanda'. The film's creative team, including composer Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Tirru, and editor Shafique Mohamed Ali, promises a visual and auditory treat for the audience.

The stellar cast, featuring Raghava Lawrence as the aspiring gangster Pandiyan and SJ Suryah as the ambitious director Ray Dasan, has garnered praise for their compelling performances. Nimisha Sajayan, Naveen Chandra, Sathyan, Aravind Akash, Ilavarasu, and Bava Chelladurai contribute to the film's rich ensemble.

Raid:

Karthi makes his debut as a director with this action-packed crime thriller that stars Vikram Prabhu as a cop. The film is a remake of the Kannada blockbuster Tagaru, which featured Shivarajkumar and Dhananjaya in the lead roles. The film revolves around a police officer who is transferred to a new town where he has to face a ruthless gangster and his henchmen.

The film also stars Sri Divya, Ananthika, Rishi Rithvik, Soundararaja, and others in important roles. The film has music by Sam CS, cinematography by Kathiravan, editing by Manimaran, and stunts by K Ganesh. The film was released on Diwali and received a good response from the audience. The film will be available on Aha Tamil from December 8. Watch it if you love high-octane action and thrilling chases.

Japan directed by Raju Murugan, who is known for his critically acclaimed films like Joker (2016) and Gypsy (2020). The film stars Karthi and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles, along with Sunil, Vijay Milton, and Jithan Ramesh in supporting roles. The film is produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures and has music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Ravi Varman, and editing by Philomin Raj. Released on November 10, the film received average reviews.

Koose Munisamy Veerappan:

Created by Jeyachandra Hashmi, the series uses rare video recordings and interviews to reveal fascinating details about Veerappan, who was involved in poaching, smuggling, and killing for decades. The series also features prominent speakers such as veteran journalist Nakkheeran Gopal, Ram, Pa Pa Mohan, Subbu aka Subramanyan, Alexander IPS, Rohini, Jeeva Thangavel, Mohan Kumar, and Dhamayanthi, who share their perspectives and experiences about Veerappan.

The documentary is produced by Dheeran Productions of Prabbhavathi RV, with a team of writers including Jeyachandra Hashmi, Sharath Jothi, and Vasanth Balakrishnan. The cinematography, handled by Raj Kumar PM, promises to bring Veerappan’s story to life visually, complemented by the evocative music of Satish Raghunathan and the seamless editing by Ram Pandian.
