The much-awaited trailer of Dhanush's next 'Jagame Thandhiram' is out as the movie has been progressing rapidly towards the release and indeed to serve a promising and classy treat to the ardent fans of Dhanush across and beyond the borders. The trailer is released by Netflix on Tuesday and since the release, the trailer has caught a grand reception with overwhelming views and relish from the fans.
As the sequel of the closures of theatres in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jagame Thandhiram has been slated to release directly on Netflix, which has become one of the significant hands of the Tamil and Indian cinema to deliver the movie directly to the audiences amid the lockdown. Jagame Thandhiram holds a major expectation given the recent blockbuster hits of Dhanush.
The expectation towards the movie has geared up since the first poster was released and its crew. While Dhanush plays the lead role, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Sanjana Natarajan play the female lead. The combo of Dhanush- Santhosh Narayanan will also be served in the movie and cinematography is done by Shreyas Krishna. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, 'Jagame Thandhiram' is bankrolled by Sasikanth under the banner of YNOT Studios.
Though the shooting and the final sketches were over last year, the movie didn't hit the big screen owing to the pandemic-triggered-lockdown. The movie team has initially planned to release the movie in May last year but the pandemic spread and restrictions had deferred the release for a year, which is a dramatic delay and the team was pushed to release the movie when there is strong expectation. As the theatres are closed, the production house has decided to release the movie on Netflix.
According to reports, the movie will be released on June 18, 2021, on Netflix. The songs from the movie - 'Rakita Rakita', 'Bujji', 'Nethu', were released subsequently to retain the favourable wave for the movie. 'Nethu' song, written and sung by Dhanush, was released on May 22 and all the songs are going viral on social media. With a significant reception for songs, the trailer of the movie has now been released and the movie is just two weeks away from its release.
The reports say that the movie, primarily made in Tamil, will be dubbed in 17 languages including Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, English, and Hindi. Hollywood actor James Cosmo will be playing the antagonist in Jagame Thandhiram while Joju George, Kalaiyarasan, Soundara Raja, and Deepak Paramesh will be playing important roles. Dhanush was lastly seen in Mari Selvaraj's directorial 'Karnan', which is a blockbuster hit across and beyond the borders.
Karnan was produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations and while Dhanush played the lead role, Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Yogi Babu, and Gauri Kishan played the important roles. It was a second successive megahit movie for Dhanush in recent times after Asuran. Dhanush is currently working in the Hollywood movie 'Gray Man' directed by the Avengers-fame Russo brothers.
