Nelson Dhilipkumar is turning heads for his next exciting project with Superstar, Jailer, by compiling a stellar cast that includes actors from different dialects, including Sunil from Telugu, Mohanlal from Malayalam, and Shivaraj Kumar from Kannada. When fans were theorizing for the Bollywood star would appear in the movie next, and with speculations circulated few days earlier, an official announcement was made confirming that Jackie Shroff is playing a part in Jailer.

The production banner, Sun Pictures bankrolling Jailer took to Twitter on Sunday evening, shared a Shroff's picture from the film's set and wrote, "Jackie Shroff from the sets of #Jailer," The iconic actor wears a strenuous expression and is deeply engrossed in his scene. It's worth to note that Superstar and Shroff worked together in Hindi film Uttar Dakshin in 1987, in which they both shared the screen space together before 36 years. 

The latest speculative sources claims that  Rajinikanth's Jailer would face off against Indian 2, which had already sparked excitement following the viewing of Thunivu and Varisu at the beginning of 2023. The upcoming action drama will be set in the same genre as the director's past projects in dark comedy action, which is intruiging considering the Superstar's fitting in this kind.

Bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his banner of Sun Pictures, Jailer has Rajinikanth in the lead role, where Tamannah Bhatiya plays the female lead. Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Priyanka Mohan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Vinayakan play important roles. Anirudh is composing the music and the flick is being made at a budget of Rs 100 crore. The film is presumably will have its theatrical debut in the occasion of Diwali 2023 as per speculations.
