'It's all over': Vijay Sethupathi confirms he had dropped '800' biopic, after unfolding a high-level drama!

Hours after tweeting Muralidharan's statement of asking him to drop the biopic '800', Vijay Sethupathi has confirmed that he has dropped the biopic by asserting that 'it's all over'. The major development has come when his tweet had stirred the speculations and debates on whether he had decided to pull off from the biopic.

Vijay Sethupathi unfolded a high-level drama on Monday, weeks after he was surfaced with demands and outrage to avoid acting in the movie. The actor has tweeted his response to the statement issued by Muthiah Muralidharan in which the retired Sri Lankan cricketer had asked him to drop the biopic.  In his statement, the retired spinner said, "I'm releasing this statement after my biopic '800' was surfaced with controversies in Tamil Nadu".

He stated, "I have learned that Vijay Sethupathi has been pressurized by some of the parties to drop the biopic '800' based on the wrong impression about me. So I don't want an extraordinary artist in Tamil Nadu to get affected because of me. I am asking him to avoid acting in my biopic with the view that Vijay Sethupathi won't get any barriers in his journey in the future".

Vijay Sethupathi has posted Muralidharan's statement in his tweet and responding to the cricketer's statement, the actor said "Thank you and Goodbye". It was the first tweet from Vijay Sethupathi ever since he was surfaced with the trouble. Soon after he published his tweet, it had made headlines across the state with some reports suggested that he had decided to drop the movie. Though his tweet had no assertion that he had decided to quit, it has strongly stirred the speculations and debates on whether the actor has decided to drop the movie.

Amid stirring the debates, Vijay Sethupathi had made his first public appearance since the outrage as the actor had visited Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami's residence in Chennai during the evening hours of Monday. In what has become a sudden development, Vijay Sethupathi had met the Chief Minister and consoled the latter for his mother's demise. He paid floral tribute to the Chief Minister's mother and he faced the reporters when he departed the CM's residence.

While addressing the reporters on the question of what his tweet meant, Vijay Sethupathi had said that the meaning of his tweet is 'It's all over' and cited the conformity that he dropped the movie and he has got nothing to do with regarding the biopic '800'.

He left the site by placing the assertion that he has dropped the movie and his decision has come when he has been surfaced with fierce demands and outrage from the Tamil people and fraternities to avoid acting the movie of Muthiah Muralidharan who had shown allegiance to Sinhala leaders Rajapaksas, who killed over a lakh of Tamil people during the civil war.

According to a news agency, Vijay Sethupathi's publicist had also confirmed that the actor has withdrawn from the movie. Earlier, while directors like Bharathiraja, Cheran, and Seenu Ramasamy, political leaders like Seeman and Thol. Thirumavalavan and lyricist Vairamuthu had demanded the actor to drop the movie, veteran actress Radikaa Sarathkumar had come in support of Vijay Sethupathi by insisting not to curb the actor.
