Adipurush, the much-awaited film by Om Raut, has finally hit the screens today amid high expectations and hype. The film, which is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, stars Prabhas as Raghav (Ram), Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Sita), Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Ravan), and Sunny Singh as Shesh (Lakshman). The film has been released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

However, not everyone is impressed by the film’s grandeur and spectacle. The film has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, who have pointed out the flaws in the film’s editing, storytelling, and most importantly, the VFX. Many have expressed their disappointment over the substandard quality of the visual effects, which they felt did not match the scale and budget of the film. Some even called the VFX “third class” and “cartoonish”.

But despite the negative feedback, the film has also received a lot of love and support from the fans of Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, who have praised their performances and screen presence. The fans have also appreciated Om Raut’s vision and direction, and his attempt to recreate the epic story with a modern touch. The fans have also shared their excitement and enthusiasm on social media, with many posting pictures and videos of themselves watching the film in theatres.

To the delight of the fans, a monkey swung into the theatre during the showtime of the film. The fans erupted in joy and sang Jai Sri Ram song in harmony, welcoming the monkey as a divine guest. The video of the monkey went viral on social media.

And as a mark of respect and devotion, theatres reserved a seat for Hanuman, the loyal companion of Raghav and the hero of Ramayana. The seat remained empty throughout the film, symbolizing Hanuman’s presence and blessing.

The film has also received best wishes from several celebrities from Bollywood and Tollywood, who have expressed their admiration for Prabhas and his team.  Adipurush is expected to make the box office records high this year, as it has already sold over 3 lakh tickets through advance bookings. The film has also been given permission to hike its ticket prices by Rs 50 and to have extra shows (6 shows per day) in both Telugu states.

Adipurush is a religious flick that appeals to a large section of the Indian population who are devoted to Raghav and his story. The film is a visual treat for those who love epic sagas and fantasy genres. However, it also falls short of delivering a flawless cinematic experience due to its weak VFX and editing. The film could have been better if it had focused more on its technical aspects and less on its star power.
