Amid the Coronavirus outbreak, a 69-year-old Italian national has died in Jaipur on Friday due to cardiac arrest. Earlier he was tested positive for the Coronavirus and later on he recovered from the virus, which has become the global pandemic. The reports say that the Italian national, who was touring India, had a cardiac arrest on Thursday night and he was admitted to Fortis hospital in Jaipur, Rajasthan where he passed away.
The deceased was identified as a 69-year-old Andri Carly, an Italian native who was touring Rajasthan. He was tested positive for the virus earlier and he was undergoing treatment at Fortis Hospital in Jaipur, Rajasthan. As on Friday morning, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research, the country has reported with 206 positive cases so far as the cases have been soaring high in India amid the preventive measures.
On Friday, the state of Gurajat has recorded with three more cases whereas Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh has reported with four fresh cases. West Bengal has confirmed the second positive case while Punjab has three cases currently. On Thursday, a 70-year-old Punjab man has become the fourth casualty for the epidemic. The deceased man had returned from Germany to New Delhi via Italy recently. Earlier this month, a 76-year-old man from Kalabarugi, Karnataka, a 68-year-old woman from Delhi, and a 65-year-old woman from Maharashtra had passed away for the virus. As of now, India has recorded four deaths in its territory.
The Italian national has died exactly one day after the country has recorded its fourth casualty. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation amid the outbreak on Thursday in which he appealed to the citizens to stay home and follow the advisories of the Central and state governments to contain the spread. He announced that the entire nation would observe 'Janata curfew' on March 22nd from 7 am to 9 pm.
The state of Maharashtra has more number of cases (52) in the country followed by Kerala (28), Uttar Pradesh (19), Haryana (17), Delhi (17), Telangana (16) and the states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, West Bengal had reported with positive cases. Tamil Nadu has recorded three positive cases, one of which being recovered. According to Reuters, the Indian government has banned the scheduled international commercial passenger flights from landing in the country from March 22nd for one week.
At the world stage, the global pandemic has affected about 160 countries and infected more than 245,000 people across the world. The virus has claimed more than 10,000 lives in a short period making the world get stranded on the hands of uncertainty. The pandemic has been testing the capabilities of the countries towards combating such deadliest epidemics. Italy has become the worst country hit by the virus as it has reported with more deaths (3,405) than any other country. China, which has the epicenter of the Virus, had recorded with more deaths after Italy as the virus has been causing unprecedented damages globally and plummeting the global economy.
