'It will never happen again in Tamil Nadu': Asserts TN Minister Senthil Balaji!

After the row of controversies and objections over the recent electricity outages in the state, Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji has on Tuesday asserted that such outages will never happen in the state again. His comments have come days after getting into controversy over his remarks that squirrels are causing power disruptions in the state.

The opposition ADMK had also flayed the ruling DMK regime for the incessant power cuts across the state. However, Senthil Balaji had accused the previous government of not initiating maintenance work and said this had led to frequent power cuts. The minister, who was with ADMK previously, said that the ADMK government didn't carry out essential and adequate maintenance work for nine months.

The power cuts across the state had brought the government under scrutiny and the ADMK had also slammed the DMK government by claiming that Tamil Nadu was a power surplus state during its rule and it had effectively managed the power demand. Senthil Balaji's 'squirrel' remarks had further troubled him as he was trolled by the social media users and opposition leaders.

Amid such developments, Senthil Balaji has on Tuesday asserted that the power outage will never happen in the state. Speaking to the reporters in Anna Centenary Library, the minister has said that the power outage will never happen in Tamil Nadu and monthly maintenance works will be taking place. He further warned that stern action will be taken against the deliberate electricity miscalculation. He also had warned that action will be taken against those who post their electricity number on social media.
