The Income Tax Department has taken Tamil Actor Vijay for the interrogations while the actor was in the middle of the shooting of his upcoming movie 'Master' in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, reports say.

It has been reported that the shooting was scheduled to wrap up by 5.30 pm from the premises of Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) on Wednesday but it has now been temporarily halted after the Income Tax officials had taken Vijay under their custody. The shooting of the movie 'Master' has been camped in NLC since Monday.

By airing the stirring developments, the reports have stated that initially, the IT authorities have issued summon to Actor Vijay after which they arrived directly at the spot to interrogate Vijay and they have taken him into custody. Earlier on Wednesday, the Income Tax authorities had stormed into the properties and locations of AGS Entertainment after suspecting the tax evasion.

The IT sleuths have camped their raids in more than 20 locations of AGS including the residence and properties of the film production company in Chennai. AGS Entertainment is one of the popular film production and distribution groups in Chennai that lastly produced Vijay starred 'Bigil'. The reports have stated that over 50 IT authorities have been conducting raids in the properties of AGS and the operation comes amid the film production company reported a loss for producing Bigil and it has been reported that the officials had summoned Vijay with connection to their raids.

Vijay has currently been acting in his 64th film 'Master' that was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-starred by Actress Malavika Mohanan and the movie has pictured most of the parts and is currently camping the final stages of the shooting for which the team was tented in NLC Premises for the past three days. Actor Vijay Sethupathi has been inducted to the movie in the main role.
