An Infant died upon the arrival at the Chennai airport!

In a most unfortunate case, the couple of Chennai nativity who were en route to their hometown from Australia had found their six months old child died while clearing their immigration checks at the Chennai airport on Thursday.

It has been reported that after the couple realized their baby went unconscious, they rushed to the authorities at the airport after which they called for medical help to treat the infant but unfortunately, the child was pronounced dead. The couple identified as Sakthi Murugan aged 32 and Deepa aged 27 have been working in the software company in Melbourne, Australia and they boarded their plane to visit their parents living in Tambaram, in the outskirts of Chennai. On Thursday, they arrived at Chennai airport via Kuala Lumpur with their six months old son.

Upon disembarking the plane in Chennai airport, the couple completed their immigration process by having the baby resting in the arms of the mother and after their immigration, they were reportedly waiting to collect their baggage when they realized that the child has been unconscious and turned blue. 

The police authorities had stated that during their immigration checks, the couple thought that the baby has been sleeping and after realizing the baby's condition, the couple has taken the child to the clinic in the international terminal of the airport but eventually, the duty doctors at the clinic declared that the child was dead. After the sudden demise, the police authorities at the airport had acquired the body to perform the autopsy at the Chrompet government hospital and the reports had stated that while the cause of death remains unclear, the police have filed a case for investigations.

The parents of the deceased child had informed the authorities that their son was active and playing on board the plane from Kuala Lumpur.
