After having been anticipated, the ongoing 74th United Nations General Assembly has been on the pivotal watch across the nations for hosting the world leaders and their discussions on threatening international issues and unlike the previous assembly sessions, this general assembly has admittedly been crucial for India and Pakistan after these neighboring rivalries had oiled tensions and unrest on Kashmir region that had attained international spotlight for strongest rebuttals and accusations from both sides of the aisle.
Its first United Nations address for Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi after assuming to power for second consecutive time with huge mandate and the first maiden address for his Pakistani counterpart where the two leaders had taken one of the powerful podiums on earth to address the world leaders yesterday.
While addressing the assembly, Narendra Modi had kept his speech by not mentioning Pakistan and Kashmir in any stances and rather he focused on highlighting India's potential and arduous development of social welfare programmes and ensured to reiterate India's determination to fight and combat terrorism that he pictured as the biggest challenges for humanity and for values of peace and harmony.
He, as cited by the officials much prior on his agenda, had took the prospect to underline India's successful implementation of the world's largest sanitation, financial and health insurance schemes that had upgraded poor and rural India and further expressed his pleasure to address the assembly on behalf of 1.3 billion Indians and proclaimed the occasion as one of the special as the world is preparing to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and reiterated his message of truth and non violence that has been relevant for global peace and development.
He had urged the United Nations for potential reformations with new strengths and directions to counter the global challenges from social life, economy, security and connectivity through unleashing modern technology. He cited that India, being the land of Buddha, has always stood by world peace and not on war and called on the world to destroy and degrade the grounds of terrorism that has been posing huge danger for the humanity and for the entire world.
On the other hand, Pakistan Prime minister Imran Khan, who took the podium shortly after Modi had concluded his address, had ultimately oiled and unleashed the attacks against India on Kashmir issue where he had filled his address with the frustrated pages with his sole motive of uniting the world against India. He had claimed that the Kashmir region will become a 'bloodbath' if the curfew has been lifted and accused Indian government for stationing 9,00,000 troops in the Kashmir soil.
His fifty minutes speech has been framed to attack India on its claim that Pakistan houses terrorism and further cited that the curbs and impositions on Kashmir people had allegedly violated their rights and he urged the observers of the United Nations to tour Kashmir and in the middle of the speech, he threatened to unleash nuclear war by stating that he would fight against India in all the possible choices.
While exercising its right to reply, India had staged its befitting reply on Imran Khan's statement where Vidisha Maitra, India's first secretary of Ministry of External affairs had told that Imran Khan had failed being as a statesman and further demanded Pakistan's Prime minister to table the conformity that Pakistan is not housing 130 UN designated terrorists and asked Imran Khan to deny that he has been an open defender of Osama Bin Laden and fiercely accused Pakistan for being the only country that provides pension to an individual terrorists listed by the UN while it has been discriminating the minorities.
However, amidst the accusations by Pakistan Prime minister, the activists and Pakistan minority people had stormed against Imran Khan and staged fierce protest outside the United Nations headquarters while Khan was delivering his maiden address to the assembly. Among the hundreds of voices from Pakistanis against their Prime minister was the voice of 32 year old Gulalai Ismail who has been raised in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, one of the provinces which will stationed with Pakistani troops. She has been one of the notable voice where she had accused Pakistan government for allegedly executing brutal killings against innocent minorities under an umbrella of downgrading the terrorism and further urged the Khan's government to end human rights violations and to free the innocent civilians who have been tortured in its camps. Her voice along with hundreds against their native homeland had flagged the clear pictures that Pakistan has been isolated not only by the international countries but also by its own citizens after been accounted for grave and annoying human rights records.
