The highly awaited movie “Indian 2” starring Megastar Kamal Haasan has generated significant excitement among fans and moviegoers. The film, which is a sequel to the 1996 cult classic “Indian”, is directed by Shankar, who is known for his grand vision and spectacular filmmaking.

The film features an ensemble cast of Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Guru Somasundaram among others. In a recent development, Netflix, a leading international OTT platform, has reportedly acquired the digital rights for the film in multiple languages for a staggering amount of Rs 200 crore. This is one of the highest deals ever made for a Tamil film and reflects the huge buzz and anticipation for the film.

“Indian 2” starts from where part 1 ended which means Kamal Haasan’s character of Senapathy is going to be about 90 years old. The actor has undergone extensive prosthetic makeup to transform into the aged vigilante who fights against corruption and injustice. The film also has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who has composed some catchy tunes and background score for the film.

The film is currently in post-production and is expected to release in theatres next year. The makers have not revealed the exact release date yet but have assured that the film will be a visual treat for the audience.

Kamal Haasan is also busy with other projects such as “KH 233” with H Vinoth, “KH 234” with Mani Ratnam and “Kalki 2898 AD” with Nag Ashwin. The actor has also signed up for a yet to be titled project with Mahesh Narayanan.
