India is under furore over Ayodhya case verdict!

The Supreme court today will pronounce the final verdict over Ayodhya land dispute case in what it appears as the judgment that will bring the seven-decades-long legal and religious battle to an end.

While it was predicted that the final verdict will be pronounced on September 13th, 2019 it was during Friday night when the nation was alerted after the notice was issued by the Supreme court that the final verdict will be delivered on Saturday around 10.30 am. The apex court's bench headed by the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and comprised of Justices Bobde, Ashok Bhushan, Chandrachud and Nazeer will collectively deliver the judgment which was reserved on October 16th, after the daily episodes of hearing which began on August 6th.

By citing the judgment, the Ministry of Home Affairs had earlier issued circular to the state governments and the police departments to tighten the grip of the security parameters in the state to ensure that neither violence nor any untoward incidents reported in the wake of the final verdict. The state of Uttar Pradesh, which houses 2.77 acres of disputed land has issued restrictions in the state by imposing Section 144, which bars the unnecessary gathering of people and the assembly of more than four persons, in Ayodhya district until December 10th, 2019. 

Most of the states including Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh and New Delhi have ordered to shut down the schools until further orders. On Friday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people across the nation to remain calm and to accept the judgment. While asserting that there is no victory or defeat in the case, he further claimed that the verdict would strengthen peace, unity, and harmony.

Similarly, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi Palaniswami and his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adiyanath had asked the people to accept the judgment peacefully and they had directed their respective police departments in the state to remain alerted and to enhance the security grid through all the possible ways.

In the statement released by Edappadi Palaniswami, he had stated that the state should exemplify its standards on maintaining the peace and he asked the state political and religious leaders to unite together in maintaining the peace and calm in the state.

The final verdict on Ayodhya land dispute case would be one of the important and crucial judgments pronounced by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi as he will be stepping down from his office on November 17th, 2019.
