Rajinikanth has finally brought his political suspense to an end and prepares to become the actor turned politician as on Thursday, days after meeting the functionaries and years after keeping his fans wait, announced that he will launch the political party by January 2021 and he will make an official announcement regarding his politics by December 31st, 2020, three years after he announced that he will enter politics. 

Rajinikanth took to Twitter on Thursday amid strong expectations and speculations and revealed that he is ready for spiritual politics and a miracle will happen in the upcoming assembly polls. In his statement that he released on Twitter, Rajinikanth said, "With great support from people, an honest, righteous, transparent, corruption-free, casteless, secular, and spiritual politics will be formed in Tamil Nadu in the upcoming assembly elections for sure. Wonder...Miracle...will happen!!!". His announcement of entering politics has come as a huge relief for his fans and the members of Rajini Makkal Mandram as they have been waiting and demanding the superstar to enter politics. 

Hours after making his announcement, Rajinikanth had addressed the reporters for the first time as the political freshman during which he said that he is ready to launch his political party and he is confident of victory in the upcoming assembly elections in the state. The actor had claimed that the time has come to change the fate of the state and bring a change in Tamil Nadu. 

Speaking to reporters from his Poes Garden residence in Chennai, the political freshman said 'I am ready to give my life to the people of Tamil Nadu. A political change is extremely essential at this hour. If it is not done now, it will be never done. We should change everything. I request with folded hands to those who had made my livelihood, to stand by me". The superstar said that the party work has already been started.

While pouring a huge relief to his fans and members of the outfit that he is ready for active politics, Rajinikanth had also revealed why there was a delay in making the final announcement that he is entering politics. Addressing the reporters concerning the delay, the 71-year-old septuagenarian said, "I've already said that I will enter politics after there is an elation among people. I wished to tour the entire state to reach more people to start politics, but Coronavirus had put a stop to it and due to my health situation, doctors had advised me against touring the state and talking to people directly". 

The actor and political freshman had announced his picks to lead the political party. In his address, Rajinikanth said, "Tamilaruvi Manian has been appointed as manager. He has supported me since I said I will enter politics. I have the confidence that I will win. Everybody has a fate, similarly every state and country has a fate and the time has come for Tamil Nadu to change its fate". 

Following the appointment, Gandhiya Makkal Iyyakam Chief Tamilaruvi Manian said, "In Tamil Nadu, where the politics of hate is widespread, Rajinikanth will start spiritual politics which is all about love. Rajinikanth is there for people if they need an honest and great administration. For those who have faith that he will bring a massive change in politics, today is their real Deepavali". 

Through his announcement of launching a political party, Rajinikanth has confirmed that he would be contesting in the upcoming assembly polls and his announcement has come when the state is only five months away from the elections. By bringing the long wait to an end, Rajinikanth's politics will be starting a fresh political race in the state and the superstar will be meeting the decades-long Dravidian parties as the fellow contenders in the race for reign. Following Rajini's political announcement, his fans had gathered at his residence and they started celebrating the announcement by distributing sweets and bursting crackers.
