In a surprising turn of events, Trisha has expressed her interest in working with the director Selvaraghavan for a possible sequel. The actress surprised her followers by replying to a tweet from Selvaraghavan that was posted way back in 2013.
In his tweet, Selvaraghavan said that he had watched AMAV (Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule), which later remade into Yaaradi Nee Mohini in Tamil, after a long time and had a great time working with Venkatesh and Trisha. He also added that he wouldn’t mind making a sequel to the film.
Trisha, who stumbled upon the tweet just recently, fired back with a quick-witted response, “I am ready Selvaraghavan”. The director's fans and film enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating a sequel following the positive reception of this surprise convo.
AMAV was a blockbuster hit that starred Venkatesh and Trisha as the lead pair. The film was about a software engineer who falls in love with his colleague, but faces opposition from her family and his own ego. The film was praised for its comedy, music and performances. It was also remade in Tamil as Yaaradi Nee Mohini in 2008, with Dhanush and Nayanthara playing the lead roles. The Tamil version was also a huge success and marked the debut of Mithran Jawahar as a director.
It is not clear whether Selvaraghavan has any plans to make a sequel to AMAV or whether he was just joking in his tweet. However, Trisha’s reply has certainly sparked some curiosity among the fans, who are eager to see the duo collaborate again. Trisha is currently busy with several projects in Tamil including The Road, Leo, KH234, while Selvaraghavan is working on his next film with Ravi for 7G Rainbow Colony 2.
