While elderly people and people with co-morbid conditions have become more vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic as they account for larger infections and deaths due to the virus, a 97-year-old man has now inspired the rest of nonagenarians and septuagenarians and others after he combated the pandemic and successfully recovered from the disease.
A 97-year-old man is a native of Agra and he is one of the oldest persons in the country to get contracted to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was admitted to Nayati Hospital on April 29 for further treatments. He was reportedly suffering from hypertension, which is his comorbidity, and initially, he was under the ventilator support for the regular supply of oxygen and he had withstood the discomforts and health condition which had let him battle the virus along with the comorbidity.
He has successfully battled the infection and discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after complete recovery and now he has become one of the oldest patients to revive back from the infection and his recovery has been described as a 'ray of hope' by the local authorities.
