Taking a jibe against actor turned politician Kamal Haasan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has said that Kamal Haasan has been spoiling families. The Chief Minister has been touring the state in his drive to cover the people ahead of the assembly polls and under the guise of organizing government events, he has been turning those into the political caucuses.
As part of his drive, the Chief Minister had toured the Ariyalur district on Thursday and conducted the review meetings. Following the meetings, he addressed the reporters during which he flayed Kamal Haasan and strongly attacked the actor turned politician, who is a staunch critic of the state ruling party. The Chief Minister has also condemned the Bigg Boss Tamil TV show, which has been hosted by Kamal Haasan.
Speaking to the reporters, the Chief Minister said that Kamal Haasan started a political party only after retiring. Edappadi Palaniswami stated that the actor knows nothing and he is hosting Bigg Boss and the Chief Minister asked what will happen if a man hosting Bigg Boss enters politics and added that not one family in the state will be good if they watch the show. The Chief Minister further stated that Kamal Haasan is not a man with an ambition to go good for the country but he just wants to spoil happy families.
The Chief Minister further added that Kamal Haasan's party can conduct shows on several welfare schemes that will be of help to the public. The scathing statement from the Chief Minister against Kamal Haasan has come when the actor turned politician has been attacking the ruling party over its governance and recently, Kamal Haasan had staked claim of MGR's legacy and he said that he grew up on the lap of the former Chief Minister who established ADMK.
In what has become a first direct attack on the actor turned politician in his bid to claim MGR's legacy, the Chief Minister has flayed Kamal Haasan when the latter has been preparing to build a third front against the ADMK party. Earlier, Kamal Haasan asserted the possibilities of joining hands with Rajinikanth to form the third front and it had stirred speculations on whether the legendary actors are coming together for the assembly polls. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister had accused the farming agents of instigating the farmers to protest against the three farm bills.
