The biggest announcement came just in time for Kamal Haasan's birthday on Monday - November 7, as its no better way to bid goodbye to the turning of age than by releasing a poster from Indian 2, and it is quite clearly a crowd-pleaser on several levels.
The movie poster features Kamal Haasan as Senapathy, who appears incredibly regal and majestic twinning the same attire as in the first film. 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, which unveiled the visual treating poster. Taking to Twitter, the production house wrote, "To the one whose versatility is beyond comparison, wishing the legend of Indian cinema a very happy birthday from team #Indian2."
The new poster read, "Happy birthday, dear Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan from Indian 2 team." The movie's first part was released in 1996 in which Kamal Haasan plays the role of Senapathy, who was tasked to fight against corrupting society. Indian 2 is a sequel to the successful first part and it stars Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Samuthirakani and Guru Somasundaram.
Anirudh Ravichander composed the film's score, while Ravi Varman, Rathnavelu, and A. Sreekar Prasad handled the photography and editing, respectively. The plot of the movie centers on Senapathy, who returns to the nation to help a young man expose corrupt politicians there by posting videos online.
