With Jayalalithaa's closest aide VK Sasikala nearing her release, the ruling party of Tamil Nadu has been gearing up to face the unanticipated developments as her release is expected to bring a political storm to the shores of the ruling party ahead of the assembly polls. While the ruling leaders are mulling on how to address and respond to the fresh revolt within the party post her release, BJP-RSS Ideologue S Gurumurthy has now suggested the ruling faction that ADMK must accept and align with Sasikala to defeat DMK. 

Gurumurthy, who is well known as the Editor of Thuglak Magazine, was addressing at the magazine's 51st-anniversary celebration that was held in Chennai on Thursday. BJP National President JP Nadda was the Chief Guest of the event during which Gurumurthy put out his suggestion to ADMK, which had combinedly shocked and surprised ADMK leaders and members. Rewinding an incident that happened when Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister, Gurumurthy suggested ADMK align with Sasikala to defeat DMK. 

He said, "When the Bofors scam came to light in 1987-88, the Indian Express worked with the determination of removing Rajiv Gandhi from the post of Prime Minister. Indian Express didn't have any personal welfare in its determination but it worked with public welfare and for its works, the government filed 300 cases on Ramnath Goenka, the founder of the Indian Express. However, Goenka stood strong against these difficulties, and Arun Shourie and I stood with him in support".  

Gurumurthy stated that Ramnath Goenka stood with his affirmation that Rajiv Gandhi must be removed from the post. He further said, "We took the help of Chandra Swamy. Many of you may have known about him and there were many allegations against him. But we approached his help as he was giving tip-offs and clues about Rajiv Gandhi. When Arun Shourie was fighting for sacred politics against corruption, he faced questions from the journalists on how he can work with Chandra Swamy, who had many allegations, when he is fighting for sacred politics. Arun Shourie answered the journalists and his answer is relevant now to defeat DMK". 

Gurumurthy said how Shourie answered to the journalists, " Arun Shourie said if your house is on fire, you can't water for Ganga water to extinguish, you have to manage even with the dirty sewer water". As Shourie indicated Chandraswamy as the sewer water, Gurumurthy said Chandraswamy came to him the next day and disputed over calling him sewer water. The Thuglak Editor said, "I told Chandraswamy to understand that we had to face difficulties after accepting his help". He linked that answer to the release of Sasikala and said that it is Sasikala or anyone else, referring to ADMK, Gurumurthy said that you can't just wait for Ganga water and you have to accept all kinds of water. 

Through his statement in the presence of the BJP National President, the political observers say that Gurumurthy had strongly hinted at the alliance of ADMK-Sasikala-BJP ahead of the assembly polls to defeat the DMK. Sasikala is expected to get released from the Bengaluru Central prison on January 27, after completing her four-year prison sentence after she was convicted in the Disproportionate Assets Case in which Jayalalithaa was the first accused. As Sasikala is ten days away from release, the ADMK, with the lack of strong leadership, would face more challenges in keeping its ship safe from the storm. 

With the intra-party tussle between the two leaders, the ADMK is at the state that it's being pushed to sail with the BJP alliance so is the BJP, for its weakening grounds in the state. As Sasikala's release would further break the unity and cause a drift in the ADMK which would also impact the BJP in the alliance, Gurumurthy, the RSS-BJP ideologue has suggested the ADMK accept and align with her instead of facing a drift, which would benefit DMK. 

As Rajinikanth has closed his political gates, BJP is more concerned that it should somehow have a political breakthrough in the assembly polls, and with having ADMK as the only option, BJP has asked the ADMK to accept Sasikala through Gurumurthy and the Thuglak Editor has made his suggestion to the state ruling party, which stirred speculations of whether ADMK will accept his demand and whether the ADMK leaders will welcome and align with Sasikala to accomplish their hope of defeating DMK and forming the government for the third consecutive time.
