The slapstick comedy genre special filmmaker Rajesh, who was well known for Siva Manasula Sakthi, Boss Engira Baskaran, and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, is now making JR30 with Jayam Ravi.  It is the first time that Jayam Ravi is collaborating with Rajesh. The shooting for the tentatively named project JR 30 has commenced on floors with the Pooja ceremony on Friday - August 5, 2022. 

The project has roped Priyanka Mohan, who rose to fame through 'Doctor', 'Edharkkum Thunindhavan' and 'Don', to play the female lead. This project will be bankrolled by Screen Scene and the music will be composed by Harris Jayaraj. A few months ago the word was out and as a further step, on Friday, the film shooting began with the pooja, and it will be floored in Kerala as per reports. 

Sadhuranga Vettai fame Natty and VTV Ganesh will be playing crucial roles. The production team has now posted the pictures taken during the puja ceremony on its social media platforms. Taking to Twitter, Screen Scene Productions shared the enchanting pooja ceremony carousels and wrote, "@Screensceneoffl 's next with @actor_jayamravi and Director @rajeshmdirector kickstarted with Pooja #JR30Pooja #JR30 @jharrisjayaraj @priyankaamohan @natty_nataraj #RaoRamesh @vtvganeshoff @vivekcinema". 

The next project for Jayam Ravi is the Mani Ratnam-helmed historical epic "Ponniyin Selvan," which is set to release on September 30. The film is eagerly awaited, as Jayam Ravi plays the key role - Raja Raja Cholan. After Ponniyin Selvan, Ravi will be witnessing the release of his next film, "Akilan," which has already released its teaser, and the actor will also be working with Ahmed, of 'Endrendrum Punnagai' and 'Manithan' fame, titled 'Jana Gana Mana' where Haris Jayaraj was roped in to handle the musicals for the film.
