Episodes of Tug-of-war : BJP soars high while Congress stoops low!

The legislative assembly elections in the states of Maharashtra and Haryana have been on the spotlight amidst dozens of by-elections across the country as the states were predicted to unleash heated political grounds for ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and opposition Congress party as the parties have been boxing in the electoral ring for registering and retaining the victories despite of the accusations, crack downs and uncertainty.

From the date of election announcements to the last phase of the campaign, the political roots in both the states had branched out with fierce critics and denunciations that were thrown among the parties while there were episodes of testing the base of the alliance and the presence of national leaders and party men who had added voice for the respective candidates throughout the course of campaigns which lasted for about a month. On October 21st, both the states went for vote casting while Haryana accounted with 68% of votes registered whereas Maharashtra had 63% of its voters turned out for the elections.

The exit polls and the on ground reports aftermath the elections had revealed that the BJP and its alliance will retain its victory with tremendous margin and the vote counting which started on Thursday has been adding essence to the truth that the BJP will form its government in both the states as the BJP and its allied party Shiv Sena are in the large expectations to sweep the victory in Maharashtra while the state of Haryana would most likely form a hung legislative after having been anticipated that no party will stake a majority claim to form a government as the polling numbers indicated that current trends of tug-of-war between the parties.

The Indian National Congress party has been grounding with diminishing numbers in Maharashtra as the Nationalist Congress party headed by Sharad Pawar had bypassed Indian National Congress by gaining more seats in the state. The current trends had predicted that the BJP would form its government while Indian National Congress will likely stoop low from the existing grounds as the BJP leads in 104 seats out of 288 seats in the state while Congress accounts for a lead in 40 seats, much lower than the Nationalist Congress party and Shiv Sena party, where these two parties have been gaining the votes in 51 and 62 seats respectively.

The BJP's Chief ministerial Candidate and the current Chief minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis has been leading in Nagpur South west constituency against Congress party's Ashish Deshmukh whereas the Shiv Sena's Aaditya Thackeray, who is likely to be Deputy Chief minister has been leading in Worli constituency and his victory would direct his political career as he had made political debut in state general elections.

In Haryana, BJP has been losing its grip to form a single party government under Manohar Lal Khattar as no party had registered the seats with clear mark of majority where BJP, which hopes to stay in power, is leading in 37 seats while Congress overtakes the ruling party in 31 seats towards getting majority mark of 46 seats which the recent reports say that the Congress party is in talks with the regional parties in seeking the support to form the government by stalemating BJP's strategies.

In the preceding state legislative election of Maharashtra in 2014, BJP had won in 122 seats and Shiv Sena had registered victory in 63 seats where in Haryana, BJP had won in 47 seats and Congress in 15 seats.
