Through his romantic movies 'Arjun Reddy' and 'Geetha Govindam', Actor Vijay Devarakonda has attracted the minds and attention of the Tamil audience. It's factual that he has become a recent crush for young women and after taking a little diversion through 'Nota' and 'Dear Comrade', he again resumed his romantic track through his recent movie 'World famous lover'. Has he become a world famous lover?
After quitting his job, Gowtham (Vijay Devarakonda) has been trying to pursue his ambition of writing and his girlfriend Yamini (Raashi Khanna) is supporting him. Soon, this living together couple has been coming through a series of problems that erupt between them. After Gowtham encounters problems with the writers' block, he can't able to continue the writing that led him to spend more years due to which Yamini gets anger against him that eventually made her break up the relationship with him. With the motive of proving his love for Yamini and to prove his writing, he writes two stories and the rest of the movie directed by Kranthi Madhav travels on how his stories impacted the story of the movie.
Madhav has transformed Vijay Devarakonda from evergreen lover to world famous lover. The reason why Raashi Khanna decided to break up with Vijay Devarakonda was strong and the lifestyle of Vijay Devarakonda in the movie makes him weak. One of the stories written by Vijay Devarakonda, which speaks about his life with Aishwarya Rajesh, is filled with interesting and watchable elements. One of the strongest reasons is the acting of Vijay and Aishwarya while Catherine Terasa's acting in that story is not bad. While his first story has penned with good tracks, his second one ended up being inefficient for the movie. This second story pictures the life of Vijay Deverakonda and Izabelle Leite. However, the second one travels with the track which stood too far from the audience.
Raashi Khanna has nicely reflected the disappointments and anger as per her role but when we compare four actresses, Aishwarya Rajesh would be ranked top through her acting. The major defect in the movie is not having beautiful romantic moments despite the movie has romance as its genre. The romantic movie must make the audience to feel more curious and anxious towards uniting the actor and actress but the role of Vijay Devarakonda in this movie had failed to present the curiosity but rather it had justified that its better the actress break up with the actor. This basic defect bars the audience from getting attracted and interested in the other scenes. Unrequited love, Uninteresting screenplay has made the audience not to show sympathy on the actor's pain and additionally, the audience were burdened to watch the movie more than two hours.
On some occasions, Vijay Deverakonda's acting rewinds his role in Arjun Reddy that certainly makes the audience to say 'Enough, Vijay Deverakonda enough'. Gopi Sundar's music has failed to grab the attention and although the film has good technical elements, it doesn't elevate the movie. The movie has a dialogue in its beginning which says 'More than lakhs of stories are getting originated in the world for each second'. Director Kranthi Madhav could have picked some other story with good screenplay and probably that would have helped him and the actor with a great comeback.
