Ever since the state of Tamil Nadu has brought under the unprecedented statewide lockdown to curb the spread of Coronavirus, the police department, medical teams, and sanitary workers have swung into the action of fighting against the global pandemic. They have been on the ground around the clock to play their roles in counterattacking the virus. While the medical teams are treating virus-hit patients in the hospitals, the sanitary workers are disinfecting the state.
The massive deployment of the police force has been taking care of the surveillance through the security apparatus on barricading and penalizing the people who reportedly violate the lockdown and prohibitory orders that have been imposed under section 144. So far, the police have collected over lakhs of money from such people as the penalty, they have booked the violators and seized their vehicles.
However, despite the awareness and actions, the police ultimately wouldn't able to stop the people who hit the roads for unnecessary purposes. In some places, the police personnel strictly warned, awarded spot punishments, and imposed penalty as these people had reportedly defied the social distancing guidelines and prohibitory orders. Earlier, some police departments called on the technology to create awareness through operating drones to monitor the movements and to let people know that they have been watched through the virtual eyes and some of the visuals that shared by the police department had signaled the 360 surveillance.
In the extension of that, the Tirupur police department has, on Friday, rolled out first of its kind initiative or, it can be called as a therapy, to deal with such people who violate the prohibitory orders - The 'Ambulance treatment', which, on one hand, was hilarious to watch, and on the other hand, signified an important message of staying under the guidelines to take on the invisible enemy.

Here's what they did! They were patrolling the highways of Tirupur during which the police personnel stopped a two-wheeler that carried three persons with no masks or helmets. The police directed them to park the vehicle near the pavement and asked them to get on board the ambulance that was stationed there. The police said the three youngsters that the ambulance already has a COVID-19 patient on board and asked them to get on the ambulance to have COVID-19 testing in Coimbatore.
Upon hearing the police order to travel with COVID-19 patient, three youngsters apparently started screaming and crying in public and they refused to get on board. However, the police personnel had pushed them into the vehicle and closed the door. Now they have been locked up with the COVID-19 patient and they tried finding detour to exit the ambulance during which they found the way of exiting the ambulance through the window.
They tried, cried, and attempted to hop out of the ambulance through the window and they again put back inside the vehicle by the police. Although the video was hilarious to watch, it has sent a common message of the importance of maintaining social distancing and following the prohibitory orders. In the end, the Tirupur police clarified that the video was made out to create awareness and that the COVID-19 patient hasn't affected by the virus. They have warned the youngsters to stay at home and appealed to people to stay at home and be co-operative for the frontline workers who are fighting on war foot against the global pandemic.
