'With the Don of Indian cinema, thank you so much thalaiva': Actor Sivakarthikeyan's tweet goes viral!

In the midst of celebrating the commercial success of his movie 'Don', actor Sivakarthikeyan has met superstar Rajinikanth at the latter's residence in Chennai. The meeting has come nearly two weeks after Rajinikanth has made a surprise phone call to the Don movie team and congratulated them on the movie's success. 

Sivakarthikeyan has on Monday - May 30 tweeted about meeting Rajinikanth and shared a photo he took with the Superstar. In what has now become a viral tweet, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, "With the DON of Indian cinema. Met superstar Rajinikanth sir and got his blessings. That 60 minutes will be a lifetime memory. Thank you so much Thalaiva for your time and valuable appreciation for Don."

Don has opened to a decent commercial grossing at the box office though it had spurred mixed reactions. Earlier this month, Rajinikanth had called Sivakarthikeyan and told him that the movie has come nice and that he couldn't able to control his tears for the last thirty minutes.  

Though Don didn't stand up to the scale of expectations, the movie has garnered good reception across and beyond the borders. It has been reported that the movie has grossed Rs 50 crore after the first weekend of its release. Don was released on May 13, 2022, and the team has already declared that the movie is a blockbuster hit.

Days after the release of the movie, the team had celebrated its success by throwing a small private party. Lyca Productions, one of the producers of the movie, had shared the pictures of the party and wrote, "Thank you one & all for making Don a blockbuster. The private party gang just got bigger with all your love." 

Don is directed by debutant Cibi Chakaravarthi, who worked as an associate to director Atlee. While Sivakarthikeyan played the lead role, SJ Suryah, Priyanka Mohan, Samuthirakani, Soori, Radha Ravi, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, RJ Vijay, Bala Saravanan, Sivaangi, and Manobala had played important roles. Anirudh has composed the music and the movie was made on a budget of Rs 30 crore. 

It has been reported that a week after the theatrical release, the movie has been gearing up for OTT release. As per the latest information, Don will stream digitally on Netflix from June 10th. After Sivakarthikeyan had shared a photo of him meeting Superstar Rajinikanth on social media, the fans are sharing the news on Twitter as they rejoice in the blessings for Sivakarthikeyan from the Superstar himself.
