After having been left with no clear clue on when the theaters and cinema halls, that have been closed in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak and the nationwide lockdown, would re-open, the film producers have started exploring to walk on the new feet -OTT platforms to take their movies directly to the hands of audiences as the platforms, which were seen as one of the options, have now become the only and potential grounds of exploration to release the movies before they go outdated. 

While OTT (Over The Top) platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hotstar had introduced some of the movies unprecedently amid the lockdown with the stable reception, these platforms are getting ready to unveil more movies in the coming days. So, if you have the OTT platforms, ensure that they stay active as the following movies are at the final stages to reach you. 

Soorarai Pottru: Produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment, the movie has been strongly dubbed to give a major push to the upcoming movies to walk on the OTT feet as Suriya's next will become one of the significant big-budget movies to get released online by surpassing the big screens. Actor Suriya took to Twitter on Saturday and said that 'Soorarai Pottru' will be released on October 30 on Amazon Prime. 

According to the reports, the movie was sold to Amazon Prime for Rs 35-45 crore. The film was directed by 'Iruthi Suttru' fame Sudha Kongara while GV Prakash composed the music and Aparna Balamurali is starring in the lead role. As the movie has got a new leg, it has ended the speculation and stirred the expectation from the fans and audiences. 

Miss India: Following 'Penguin', 'Miss India' will be Keerthy Suresh's second stint with the new leg, hoping to make it remarkable. Miss India is the Tollywood pack of romance and drama and directed by Narendra Nath. The reports say that the movie has been bought by Netflix India. However, the Indian net of the US-based brand hasn't issued the conformity and the release date of the movie is yet to be announced. The movie has Naveen Chandra, Rajendra Prasad, and Jagapathi Babu in important roles. 

Laxmmi Bomb: Raghava Lawrence carries his horror subject to Bollywood through OTT. The movie is the remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana and would be released on Disney Hotstar. While the Tamil version had Actor Sarath Kumar as a trans woman, Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar will be playing as a trans woman in its Hindi version. It was confirmed that Akshay Kumar's horror chapter would be released on Hotstar, the date of release is yet to be announced.

V: The Telugu Drama and Thriller starred by Sudheer Babu, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jagapathi Babu, and Nivetha Thomas. Through the movie, Actor Nani would be playing as the antagonist for the first time and the pack of well-known faces makes the movie as significant in Tollywood. The movie would be released on September 5 on Amazon Prime and has caught the expectations among the Telugu fans. 

C U Soon: Yet another movie from Malayalam to walk on the new feet to get released on OTT after 'Sufiyum Sujatayum', the movie will be released on September 1 on Amazon Prime. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, who got fame through 'Take Off', the movie has Fahadh Faasil, Darshana Rajendran, and Roshan Mathew in the important roles and the movie, which comes as a computer screen-based drama, was shot during the lockdown. 

Sadak 2: Mahesh Bhatt takes the chair as the director after twenty years through this movie, which will be released on Disney Hotstar on August 28. The movie has Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles and the trailer got an unwelcoming reception after it was disliked vastly across the country after the grounds of nepotism in Bollywood that erupted after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. With the aberrant reception, the movie, which was the sequence of Sadak, is going to get released in four days.

Andhaghaaram: Produced by Atlee and directed by Vignarajan, it is yet another Tamil supernatural thriller that will be directly released on Netflix India. The movie has Vinoth Kishan, Pooja Ramachandran, Arjun Das, and Misha Ghoshal in important roles. Though the movie was expected to release in August, the date hasn't announced and since the current month has left with a week, it's likely that the movie would come to you directly in September.

Bhuj: The Pride of India: Disney Hotstar will be bringing this drama and action to you. However, the official release date is yet to be announced. The movie is directed by Abhishek Dhudaiya and stars Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. 

The Big Bull: Junior Bachchan will be playing a lead role in this crime based story. The movie is produced by Ajay Devgn and Anand Pandit and directed by Kookie Gulati and it will be also be released on Disney Hotstar. The reports say it would be released on October 23. However, the OTT platform is yet to issue the confirmation on the date of release. 

The release of these nine upcoming movies on the OTT marks the platform as the influential grounds of taking movies directly to the fans in the wake of the closures of theaters. As scores of South Indian movies had already got released through OTT amid lockdown, the platforms have been establishing a concrete base of audiences in the nation which has the fans who fond of getting relished in watching movies on the big screens.
