While seeking recommendations from the sitting ministers has been a typical culture in Tamil Nadu and other states, a DMK Minister in Tamil Nadu had put up a peculiar notice at his residence that had shocked the party cadres. In the notice, the minister has asked the party cadres and the people not to throng at the residence asking recommendations. The notice has become the talk of the town and going viral as the cadres braced up disappointments over his announcement.
According to reports, DMK Minister Regupathy, who has been serving as the Minister for Law, Courts, Prison in the current DMK regime, has put up such notice at his residence in the Pudukottai district. In his notice, he has said that several people are trying to get his recommendations directly or through the party leaders to get a job in courts.
He had requested them not to come to seek any recommendations in getting the job and that the jobs will be awarded to the final candidates selected by the committee comprised of Judges. As Regupathy is the Minister for Courts, he has been surfaced with the requests for recommendations following which he had put up such a notice.
Last month, the government has conducted examinations to fill about 3,500 vacancies for the jobs in the magistrate courts including assistants, health and sanitary workers, and security guards. Thousands of people had appeared for the exams and with the view of winning recommendations from minister Regupathy to get the job, several people including DMK cadres from across the state had been thronging to his residence and office.
With the view of curbing the typical culture, Regupathy, who has been elected to the assembly from the Tirumayam constituency, has put up a notice in front of his residence and asked the people don't come for recommendations and that the candidates will be finalized by the committee. After seeing the notice, the people are going back with upset that they can't win the recommendation from the minister.
