In the midst of racking up setbacks from his contentious tenure as Tamil Nadu BJP's chief, Annamalai is all set to attack the state ruling DMK with his new weapon, targeting Chief Minister MK Stalin, his family, and DMK Ministers. Annamalai, who is walking a tightrope, has been drawing attention for his controversial and outrageous leadership and remarks for a longtime. 

Recently, the Tamil Nadu BJP unit witnessed an exodus where several functionaries quit the party by slamming Annamalai's leadership. It has also been alleged that Annamalai has been getting sidelined by the Central BJP leadership as part of its damage control measure in Tamil Nadu. Annamalai has also earned a lot of dissents from the party veterans and to limit his role, he was appointed as the party's election incharge in Karnataka. 

Annamalai has also been facing several legal troubles and political setbacks, with the recent event being alleged that he was barred from the Central leadership to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi when the latter visited Chennai earlier this week. Amidst being in the litmus test to mitigate the wave against him, Annamalai is sparking a new anti-DMK wave by targeting the party by levelling corruption charges. 

On Thursday - April 13, Annamalai took to Twitter and announced that he will release the corruptions committed by the DMK Ministers on Friday. By releasing a video, he wrote, "DMK Files April 14th, 2023 - 10.15 am." The ten-second video shows the pictures of late DMK President Karunanidhi, Chief Minister MK Stalin, Durga Stalin, Kanimozhi MP, Udhayanidhi Stalin, MK Stalin's daughter Senthamarai, latter's husband Sabareesan, MK Alagiri, Dhayanidhi Alagiri, and the Maran brothers. 

When Annamalai was caught up in a whirl of his watch controversy, he had said that he would expose the corruptions committed by the DMK Ministers. Annamalai was facing questions over the source of income for his luxurious watch that is alleged to be worth of several lakhs and responding to such questions, Annamalai, in a press meet, boasted that his watch was made from the scraps of a Rafale fighter jet and there are only 150 watches of its kind worldwide. 

DMK had demanded Annamalai to furnish the bill of the watch before the public. Claiming that he possess a bill, he had earlier said that he would share the bill on April 1 and he will also expose the corruptions of the DMK government on April 14. While he hasn't shared the watch bill as he assured on April 1, he has now come up with the announcement that he will expose the corruptions of DMK on April 14.
