With having no second thought, Dhoni must take the baton of the winning momentum to the upcoming matches to preserve the team's history as the only team to enter the playoffs of all the IPL seasons. As the men in yellow have six matches in their kitty, they must at least win five matches to reserve the berth in the playoffs at, if not at the top, the bottom spot of the top four teams and CSK must win today's match against Delhi Capitals to have a resounding and resurging path. 

Its fight between 12 and 6 as being one of the successful teams in the current season, Delhi Capitals is at the second spot of the points table with 12 points with six wins including a hat-trick victory whereas CSK, unprecedently been trailing during the current season and Dhoni's army stands at sixth place in the points table with six points. Today's match would be more important to the Chennai Super Kings as it must win and pay back the Capitals for losing the first match in the league. 

Having been pushed to cement the winning momentum strongly, CSK's MS Dhoni has been preparing to take on Delhi with some of the tricks to apply brakes on the victorious DC. As Dhoni had acknowledged that the team should do better in batting, CSK's previous match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad had shown that the team is fixing the batting line-up, and it's likely that Dhoni would be carrying forwarding the same line-up in today's game. 

Toss highly matters for the CSK as in the battle against SRH, they won the toss and batted first for the first time in the current season. As the current edition is half-way through, CSK must lift up its dominance and revive back. It's expected that Dhoni would be surprising the Delhi Capitals with his tricks and plans including opening the batting innings through his complete cricketer Sam Curran and bringing South African spinner Imran Tahir as his presence would be crucial for the team. 

Besides that, some of the batsmen including Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, and captain MS Dhoni must focus on strengthening the batting line up to put a decent and big score on the board and the team must make use of all possibilities in all the departments to contain Delhi Capitals in registering another victory. On the other hand, with the pack of some of the best batsmen and young talents, Delhi Capitals has been more powerful during the current season like never before.  

Batsmen like Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh  Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Marcus Stoinis have cemented a strong batting line-up while bowlers like Ravichandran Ashwin (former CSK Player), Kagiso Rabada (purple cap winner in the current season with the most number of wickets), Ishant Sharma, and Mohit Sharma (former CSK player) have been preparing to attack and spoil the CSK's batting line up. The players that must be watched out for during the current game include Sam Curran, Anrich Nortje, Ambati Rayudu, Dwayne Bravo, and Prithvi Shaw. 

CSK vs DC match would be unveiling the some of these milestones -Shreyas Iyer requires 21 runs to complete 2000 IPL runs, MS Dhoni needs 1 dismissal to complete 150 IPL dismissals, Ambati Rayudu needs 8 runs to complete 3500 IPL runs, and Kagiso Rabada needs 1 wicket to complete 50 IPL wickets. 

The match would be the 34th match of the season and will be hosted by Sharjah. In their last match in the current season, Delhi Capitals had beaten Chennai Super Kings by 44 runs and CSK is currently preparing to pay back to Delhi. If CSK wins the match, it would stay at the current spot and if DC wins, it would be getting elevated to the top of the table.
