The state of Tamil Nadu has been accounted for grounding the rampant and unprecedented rise of one of the deadliest epidemics Dengue for the past few weeks that had led the epidemic to widespread across the state as the state health department had recorded about 2951 known cases of Dengue in the state till now where the affected people have been under exclusive treatments and observations mostly in the government hospitals.
Out of those hospitals, is Stanley medical hospital in Chennai which houses most of the Dengue affected patients in the city who have been admitted in the special ward. Today, the hospital has been visited by the state health secretary Beela Rajesh where she had inquired the special team of doctors to understand the precautionary measures that have been in place to treat the patients with the positive signs of Dengue after which she toured the separate wards that were installed to house and treat the patients.
After reviewing the on ground medical countermeasures, she addressed the reporters in the hospital premises where she had acknowledged that the state accounts for about 2951 people who have been hospitalized after being the victims of Dengue and she claimed that the state government has been committed to ensure that no lives have been lost due to the epidemic and with accord to that, the health department is closely monitoring the situation to flag the mechanisms to prevent the lives from the hands of deadliest epidemic.
She further instructed the people to report to the hospital immediately if they had suspicious reactions in their body and cited that the symptoms of Dengue will only show off after five days since it had rooted its virus in the human body.
While asked about the grounds of Chennai, the secretary had revealed that the region of North Chennai has been encountering unprecedented spread of the epidemic as compared to the rest of the capital and indicated that the health department has been focusing on those regions to counter the spread and further added that the state of Tamil Nadu had accounted for the death of one person due to Dengue and the state government has already proposed the parameters to monitor and to place countermeasures against the water beds that had occurred due to water stagnation and it has been speculated that the state will be showered by Northeast monsoon and prior to which the state government is keenly watching the areas that would severely affected due to rains and due to formation of water stagnation.
