The demise of K Anbazhagan: Prashant Kishor pays tribute to the veteran leader!

Indian Political strategist and chief of Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC), Prashant Kishor has paid his last respect for DMK's General Secretary K Anbazhagan as the veteran leader has passed away in the wee hours of Saturday at the age of 97 due to his age-related ailments.

The demise of DMK's stalwart has brought in huge grief to the DMK party and the Dravidian movements and his departure has said to have created a major vacuum. Anbazhayan has observed close ties with former Chief Ministers Karunanidhi and CN Annadurai and he has been one of the notable faces in the rise of the Dravidian politics in Tamil Nadu.

He was receiving treatments for the past two weeks in Apollo Hospital in Chennai. However, the reports say that his health was deteriorating and he was kept under the critical care unit. He has passed away at 1 am on Saturday and his body has been kept in his residence in Kilpauk, Chennai for the public to pay homage.

Since the morning hours of Saturday, DMK leaders, members, leaders of other political parties, and notable figures in the state have been lining up in his residence to pay the last respect. In the line was Indian political strategist Prashant Kishor, the well-known name in the current Indian politics whom the DMK has inducted in its camp to advise and strategize the policies for the party in the 2021 state legislative elections.

Prashant Kishor was accompanied by DMK President Stalin's son-in-law Sabareesan and the duo laid the garland and paid their respect to the deceased leader at his residence. Earlier Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami, Puducherry Chief Minister Narayanasamy, senior DMK leaders, DMK Youth wing secretary Udayanidhi Stalin, Actors Rajinikanth, Satyaraj, and Kamal Haasan, political leaders Nallakannu, Vaiko, Thirunavukkarasu, Thirumavalavan, GK Vasan, KS Alagiri, Ramadoss, Dhinakaran have paid their tributes and extended their condolences to the family members of the deceased leader.
