D50 Buzz: This actress to join Dhanush for the third time! Here're the exciting deets

Dhanush is all set to make his second directorial venture after the success of Pa Paandi. The film, tentatively titled D 50, is expected to be a milestone film for the actor-director-producer. The film has already created a lot of buzz with its star-studded cast that includes Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali and S. J. Suryah. Now, another big name has been added to the list.

Amala Paul, who has worked with Dhanush in three films before - VIP, VIP 2 and Amma Kanakku - has reportedly joined the team of D 50. Dhanush and Amala Paul have sizzled as an onscreen pair in VIP and its sequel, which were blockbuster hits. Fans are eagerly waiting to see them together again on the big screen in D 50.

However, she will not be playing the pair to Dhanush in the film. According to sources, Amala Paul will be paired opposite S. J. Suryah, who plays a major character in the film. Dhanush’s romantic interest in the film is yet to be revealed, but rumours suggest that it could be Trisha.

They both worked in Kodi in 2016, where Trisha played the antagonist. D 50 is said to be a multi-genre film rumored to be based on family bonding and sibling relationship. The film is bankrolled by Sun Pictures with A.R. Rahman scoring the music.

The film is expected to go on floors soon after Dhanush completes his current film Captain Miller. He also have multiple projects in his kitty from Captain Miller, untitiled project with Mari Selvaraj, second Telugu debut with Sekar Kammula, to Vetrimaaran's Vada Chennai 2, and Tere Ishq Mein with Anand L Rai.
