Despite the installations and deployment of precautions and preventive measures to combat the Coronavirus, India has been nearing to mark 300 cases in its territory as the numbers have been rising so does the risk and the challenges to contain the spread of the virus, which has emerged as the global pandemic.
As of Saturday morning, India had reported with 271 cases and the numbers have soared high in a short time. Moments back, according to ANI, the Union Health Ministry has revealed that the country currently houses 298 positive cases and amid the restrictions and bans imposed across the country, the numbers have been increasing. India has reported about 60 positive cases on Friday and the country has recorded four casualties so far due to the pandemic.

The Union Health Ministry asserted that 22 people have been discharged and recovered from the virus and these numbers have kept the hope to combat the virus. The Central and State governments have been stepping up and tightening the measures to tackle the virus from getting rampant and the Center has imposed several restrictions and issued advisories to counter the virus.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rolled out 'Janata Curfew' measure to practice social distancing and to avoid mass gathering. Modi has appealed to the people to remain indoors on Sunday from 7 am to 9 pm and asked the people to restrict travels unless for essential services.
The state of Maharashtra still tops the table in India to have more positive cases as India's richest state had recorded more than 50 cases in its territory followed by Kerala, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Karnataka. The virus has killed four people each in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Punjab.
While addressing the reporters about the soaring high cases, Lav Agarwal, the joint secretary of Union Health Ministry said 111 labs across the country would be functioning from Saturday and stated that 1600 Indians and people from foreign countries have been kept under quarantine in India. On Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal banned the assembly of five or more people at any place in Delhi. He further stated that 50 percent of buses in Delhi won't be functioning tomorrow due to Janata curfew and he appealed to the people to constrain the travel and stay at home on Sunday.
