Corona outbreak: A 15-year-old boy quarantined in Chennai-Here's the update!

A 15-year-old teenager who landed in Chennai from the United States with his parents had taken for the observation and quarantined at the government hospital in the city after he has shown positive symptoms of the epidemic while screening at the airport, reports say.

It has been reported that the teenager has arrived at the Chennai airport from the United States along with his parents on Sunday morning. Upon arrival, the family had gone through the screening that has been installed at the airport to ensure that the people enter the city doesn't carry the symptoms with them. During the screening, it was identified that the boy had positive symptoms of the epidemic following which he was taken to the government hospital in the city and his blood samples were collected for further examinations.

According to the health department official, the test results will be known on Monday that would ascertain whether he has been infected by the virus. As on Sunday, the Tamil Nadu has reported with one positive case of Coronavirus. A 45-year-old person with the positive symptoms had arrived in Chennai from Oman recently and he has been quarantined and treated in the isolation ward in Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital in Chennai.

Coronavirus has become pandemic across the world as more than 80 countries have directly been affected and reported with positive cases and the number of positive cases has been soaring high each day that has let the countries on the hands of uncertainty to contain the virus, which has been rapidly spreading unlike the previous epidemics of Ebola, Nipah, and Dengue. India hasn't become exceptional for the virus as till Sunday, the country reported with 39 positive cases across various regions and the spread has been testing the capabilities and capacities of the health and safety mechanisms the country has to contain such epidemics.

The state government of Tamil Nadu has been remaining vigilant to shield its territory from the virus. While addressing the reporters after having one positive case in the state, Health secretary Beela Rajesh said that the government hospitals have been put up with an adequate stock of medicines and she appealed to the people not to make unnecessary travel. She stated that the disease has been spreading because of making travels to the virus-hit countries and having contacts with the people who had come from the affected countries. She further added that the railways and the authorities of the state transport department have been advised to disinfect the buses and coaches to contain the spread of the virus.
